hallmark of enlightenment

Good and God’s morning ……

normally wake up time is 4:30 a.m. in summer and 5:00 a.m. in winter  for my morning walk …… as yesterday night was super moon and it was still there in the sky at that hour and its beauty mesmerize me …… and for some moment it was awareness of sheer beauty ……and to live with this sheer beauty is enlightenment ……

yesterday was a great festival for the entire humanity and particularly for followers of Lord Buddha ….. as one this full moon light night …… he researched enlightenment ……sitting under peepal  tree ….
The other common names for the peepal  tree are Bo tree, Bodhi tree, Sacred tree, Ashvattha and the Buddha tree.

Peepal tree has the great importance in India especially among the Buddhist who regard Peepal tree as the personification of Buddha. Lord Buddha attained enlightenment mediating under the Peepal tree. It is regarded as the sacred tree and the people use its leaves for the religious purposes.

According to the Buddha – ‘He who worships the Peepal tree will receive the same reward as if he worshiped me in person’.

The Peepal tree has its own symbolic meaning of Enlightenment and peace.

People tie threads of white, red and yellow silk around it to pray for progeny and rewarding parenthood.

The origin of peepal tree can be traced back to the times of Indus Valley Civilisation (3000 BC – 1700 BC) in the Mohenjodaro city. Excavations are suggestive of the fact that even in those times; the peepal tree was worshipped by Hindus.

Hindus in India holds the great spiritual regard for the Peepal Tree,

There are a couple of stories, which say that the tree is home to the trinity of Gods, the root being Brahma, the trunk is Vishnu and leaves represent Lord Shiva.

Another popular belief is that Lord Krishna died under the Peepal tree..

Well, apart from its religious significance, Peepal tree is also known for its medicinal value.Ashwatha, the Peepal tree known botanically as Ficus religiosa is sacred to Hindus as well as Buddhists.

Ashwatha literally means “Where horses stood” (ashwa + tha). In ancient times, horses were the main form of transportation and every village or town on the highway perhaps boasted of a Ashwatha tree with it’s all pervading grandeur, providing shelter to the creatures.

People are of the belief that Goddess Lakshmi dwells in the tree .

love spiritual scientist of Hinduism who explained complex subjects in a very simple way by these mythological iconography ….. this picture in scientific terms represent our mind ….. Lord Ganesha as our logical masculine intelligence and Goddess Saraswati as our emotional feminine intelligence …… and Goddess Laxmi …… the true wealth ….. the mind of God ….the eternal and timeless happiness and she resides in PEEPAL  and  PEE  in Hindi language  means  drink  and PAL in Hindi language means now or present moment so PEEPAL in Hindi language means ……. drink every moment ……live now …..live in present …..

this afternoon searched on internet this question ?

How did Buddha know that he actually achieved enlightenment and that what he achieved is the ultimate achievement?

who gave him this recognition that he got enlightened ……. even today to whom can we go and ask to give us a certificate on degree of enlightenment ?….. and for six years of rigorous spiritual practices …..did not he encounter an enlightenment  ? and what ever he encountered how did he knew that this is not the enlightenment ?  ……

as a creative person in my professional life had to work with PANTONE  colour system …… and in that you have a sample of a colour chip  and you have to match it and once they match …..we say …..perfection in colour meets perfection in paint

exactly we all have an inbuilt chip of enlightenment …… the chip of timeless and eternal awareness and happiness  from our birth and we normally live up to age of 3 in this eternal awareness and that is the reason we say …children are the mirror of Divine ……. and the moment it matches with this childhood taste  …..we become our own hallmark ……

this happens when oneness happens …. in oneness everything imparts its wisdom to us …..like on moon lit night it happened with Lord Buddha …… from moon the beauty and from tree …..art to live in present ….. so once colors matched Buddha knew …..he got enlightened …… his own hall-mark ….

To be with nature is to be with our self,

to be our self is to be oneself,

to be with oneself is to be with  divine self.

to be with divine self is enlightenment ……

our own hallmark of eternal happiness

love all.
