Pope of Physics : Enrico Fermi

Enrico Fermi, (born Sept. 29, 1901, Rome, Italy—died Nov. 28, 1954,  U.S.), Italian-born American scientist who was one of the chief architects of the nuclear age. He developed the mathematical statistics required to clarify a large class of subatomic phenomena , explored nuclear transformations caused by neutrons, and directed the first controlled chain reaction involving nuclear fission . He was awarded the 1938 Nobel Prize for Physics, and the Enrico Fermi Award of the U.S. Department of Energy  is given in his honour. Femilab the National Accelerator Laboratory, in Illinois, is named for him, as is Fermium , element number 100.

Experimental confirmation of a prediction is merely a measurement. An experiment disproving a prediction is a discovery. Enrico Fermi

When asked what he meant by a miracle: Oh, anything with a probability of less than 20%. Enrico Fermi

It is not good to try to stop knowledge from going forward. Ignorance is never better than knowledge. Enrico Fermi

The fact that no limits exist to the destructiveness of this weapon [the ‘Super’, i.e. the hydrogen bomb] makes its very existence and the knowledge of its construction a danger to humanity as a whole. It is necessarily an evil thing considered in any light. For these reasons, we believe it important for the President of the United States to tell the American public and the world what we think is wrong on fundamental ethical principles to initiate the development of such a weapon. Enrico Fermi

Never underestimate the joy people derive from hearing something they already know. Enrico Fermi

Having no desire also is a desire only ?

“When there is no desire,

all things are at peace.”

-Lao Tzu

(570-490 BC)

ram H singhal footnote

Having no desire also is a desire only ?

so what exactly Lao Tzu  want us to understand ….. I will try to explain taking help of some mythological stories which have deep scientific understanding of human brain , mind and Psychology

Indian Language Hindi is so simple and scientific …..   one thing good about it is as it is spoken so also is written  ……. so are most of the languages of the world

but since Born in India so understand Indian Language Hindi well  …… will show you from the Hindi words below essence of wisdom hidden behind these words ….. which will give us help to understand Lao Tzu words of wisdom more precisely.

मन  ( man) =    there is no equivalent word in English but nearest word is ….MIND …..

but  मन  is a bridge between body and soul …..

In Indian Mythological story Ramayana it is represented by 10 head

demon RAVANA …. each head representing our senses …..

मनन  ( manan )=  Analysis of a subject deeply inside brain  …..

the micro vision …it like churning the ocean or mind  ……

again a epic story Samudra Manthan ……

a symbol of fight between good and bad ….. positive and negative thinking …..

Demons are called ASUR means no harmony ……

Gods are called SUR means harmony ……

and out of this comes is nectar that is AMRITA …..

the timelessness …..

all spiritual practices are tools to find this AMRITA or timelessness ……

and NAMASTE  is symbol of respact to timelessness in each other ….

नमन (Naman)  = it t true meaning is Surrender

is

the bow to the wish of divine ……

it is a wisdom word which remains same even we reverse it ……

and is a Key to keep a balance of mind in good or bad situations  ……

in India people take good or bad happening in life as wish of God

so

remain more clam and need much less physiological help .

अमन  (aman ) =  its true meaning is peace

and happens with balance of mind or being neutral like Referee in a match of life .

and this natural harmony brings peace and puts us at center of our being

….. Lord RAMA in the picture at top  puts an arrow in the naval which is the root chakra  even in atom the center is neutral zero …..

living with zero is SUNAYATA and that is absolute peace

सुमन (suman)  = it means the flower

and absolute peace flowers our soul ….

flower is a symbol of enlightenment ……

softness and sensitivity of heart ……

चमन  (Chaman ) = it means Garden of soul flowers …..

fragrance to be in this world …..

living with the fragrance is Enlightenment 360° .

Eveready : Last word of an Enlightened Mother

It is certainly not an overstatement that Torch and battery cells and Eveready have been synonymous with each other in India for over a century.

So in Year 1957 we also had a torch and batteries as a precious possession in our large family of many brothers and sisters .

one day as I was cleaning the torch and cells…. my mother asked what is on the cells written and what is this logo ?

so explained her in simple understandable words as she could do primary education only.

Eveready = Cat ever ready to drink Milk ( it was very common in 1950 – 1960 that cats will drinks milk from the open kitchens as refrigerators were not there . )

Asked her one day on her habit of regular bath year around morning and one before going to bed ?

This body is like a car from the God and I drive it everyday so always keep it clean inside and outside

Do not know ….when God want it back…..

So I am also like your battery cells….. Eveready

was her reply .

In Summer of year 2001 , me and my wife travelled to New York USA. as my elder son was graduating from Parsons School of Design . My wife decided to stay back with my son to travel around USA. both returned to India in first week of June 2001.

When she went to touch my mother’s feet for her blessings …..my mother told her….now you have come so it is my time to go and now I am already 82 so invite all family for Lunch on 7 June 2001.

on 7 th morning she was well but was in contemplation . At around 1 o’clock she asked every one to go and have lunch in Main Building in our Haveli.

….. and when all returned from the lunch it was almost her lunch time .

so I went and touched  her hands to enquire about lunch   and she opened her eyes looked at me…..looked at the picture of Lord Vishnu on the wall and told me……eveready…..and closed her eyes for ever.

In my opinion she was truly a spiritual and a person of 360° Enlightenment.

with tears of love on Her Death Anniversary as per Hindu Calendar.

Great saint Kabir’s bhajans ….Jhini jhini Chadriya….in the voice of Great maestro Kumar Gandharva’s eternal voice truly is picture of Her life.

Love all.

Compass of Public Speaking

Compass of Public Speaking was my subject in a WhatsApp Group conference in 2017.

S at 6 am on this picture stands for Start of Subject with a Cup of South Indian Coffee so start your talk on the chosen subject with warmness and explaining subject like sipping from the cup of Subject Knowledge.

So The presentation of subject should be well practiced with rehearsals before putting relevant data clearly so eloquently which should give understanding to everyone present in the Hall.

W at 9 am is like spread of breakfast which should be explanation in details about Working of Subject in past and in Present times .

N at 12 am is like Lunch with new dishes . in third part of speech we should bring to the table New inventions , discoveries , technology , improvements and future potential in the talked subject .

E at 3 pm is like serving the Cake of Essence . it should be put on the plate with care with chosen ingredients of honesty and Digestible wisdom .

End your presentation thanking all listeners for their Attention and Time .

so four parts are :

S ( South ) = Subject

W ( West ) = Working

N ( North ) = New Ideas and Inventions.

E ( East ) = Essence or Fragrance of Wisdom

One can corelate it with time dial to remember the parts of speech giving them the context of Time which is 6 am to 3 pm with time numbers like done in Method of Loci.

Love all.

(c) ram H singhal

How Does the Method of Loci Work?

The method of loci involves a mental strategy of imagining yourself placing items around a house in different rooms The items that you mentally place in the different rooms are the pieces of information that you are trying to learn, such as a list of things that you need to remember in a certain order but one can utilize the clock face like 6,7,8 am for parts of Subject , 9,10,11am for working , 12 , 1 , 2 pm for New Ideas and 3,4, 5 pm for Essence of talk .

In order to recall each item, visualize yourself walking back through that Clock Dial or rooms (or along that path) and then picking up or passing by each item that you placed there, thus triggering your recall for that information.

Finance and Fiancée

Finance and fiancée both are Handle with Care Subjects.

Finance Management of earning is learning.

Everyone who wants to live with the fiancée happy life , should learn it at the stage of friendship only .

Finance , Family , Food ,and future all are important matters which need careful budgeting , spending and saving .

Quarterly Finance management in my view should be that you divide your earning in four quarters .

First quarter for Home 0r housing .

Second Quarter for Food .

Third Quarter for Family (Clothing and children education and misc }

Fourth Quarter as Saving

Yesterday my younger Son who explained me difference between ” Access to Money “ and ” Excess of Money ”

Credit Card is an ” Access to Money ” and Debit Card is an ” Excess of Money ”

Careful budgeting , Careful spending with in Budget in cash or with Debit card and extra careful saving is key to happy Life with fiancée as loving wife.

Availing Access to money in any means is mortgaging of one’s future , live within the present means is freedom of Life.

Be in Excess of Money yet with strict budgeting and Be with your Honey happily ever after.

Treat Finance as Fiancée for better Future.

Love All.
