be a childhood friend of God

Good and God’s morning ……. love this painting outside my study room …… reminds me that journey of life starts with a small step of a child …… even Lao Tzu quote in this way …..

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

― Lao Tzu
(570-490 BC).

love my youngest grand daughter …… she is just 14 months old but she share so much of joy and intelligence …….

looking at children….. one feel the existence of divine …..

children are messenger of God …… she is truly a small packet of divine energy …….

are we not a children inside? …….

do not we want to see again this wonderful world with wonder ? ……  ……

child is a scientist wants to know  every thing ……

and in India a story of Child Prahlad ……

love Indian mythology which through stories makes one understand complex matters even related to God in very simple ways ……

now nature of God  explained through a mythological story…

“O most unfortunate Prahlada,

you have always described a supreme being other than me,

a supreme being who is above everything,

who is the controller of everyone,

and who is all-pervading.

But where is He?

If He is everywhere, then why is He not present before me in this pillar?”

Prahlada then answers,

He was, He is and He will be.

In an alternate version of the story, Prahlada answers…..

He is in pillars, and he is in the least twig.

Hiranyakashipu the father …..

the symbol of logical intelligence …..the symbol of ego …..

unable to control his anger, smashes the pillar with his mace,

and then following a tumultuous sound,

Vishnu in the form of Narasimha appears from it

and in defence of Prahlada ….. moves to attack his father.

In order to kill Hiranyakashipu

and not upset the boon given by Brahma ( one of the Trinity Gods ),

the form of Narasimha was chosen.

Hiranyakashipu could not be killed by human, deva or animal,

Narasimha is neither one of these, as he is a form of Vishnu incarnate

as a part-human, part-animal.

He comes upon Hiranyakashipu at twilight

(when it is neither day nor night)

on the threshold of a courtyard

(neither indoors nor out),

and puts the demon on his thighs

(neither earth nor space).

Using his sharp nails

(neither animate nor inanimate)

as weapons,

he disembowels and kills the demon.

Even after killing Hiranyakashipu none of the present demigods

were able to calm Narasimha’s fury,

not even Shiva.

So all the gods and goddesses called His consort,

the goddess Lakshmi, but she was also unable to do so.

Then, at the request of Brahma,

Prahlada was presented to God ……. the childhood friend of God…

essence of this mythology is that God which we may refer

as OM , ALLAH, GOD or name of our choice for  this cosmic consciousness …..

neither feminine nor masculine …..

neither human nor animal ……

neither positive nor negative ……

neither soul nor body …..

neither time nor timeless …..

neither light nor darkness ….

essence of this chapter is we can’t know it, but we can be it,……

can be aware of it all the time  …. can be in oneness  with it …..

only as a childhood friend of God .

Looking outside from my Balcony see the road …….

the rows of trees on both sides of the road ……

on the side roads see people walking ….. jogging …..

on the main road see many many cars and buses ….

trucks any many many things ….. all move on the roads with their distinct sound of engines ……

is not the road a canvas? …… a life …… why only black road ? …..

in my opinion ….black is a color of life ….. color of learning …….. color of creativity …..

My Grand son  ask me recently ….. why his hairs are black not grey like me …..

what we converse in next post …… love all.
